Reasons people aren’t you:

  • You Never Stop Talking
  • The Word “Sheeple”
  • Your Attitude
  • Fedoras
  • Bitcoins

Not your beliefs, though. So stop acting like that’s why other people don’t want to talk to you about them.

People are reveling in Margaret Thatcher’s death as if she was Bin Laden. Please, remember she was a person (therefore flawed like all people) and was never a tyrant. Also, she was the first female Prime Minister. It’s going to be 2016 before we see the US equivalent of that (and we will). RIP.

You give real liberals a bad name.

SHOT THROUGH THE HEART, AND I’M TO BLAME…

I am not a liberal, so your comment is interesting. I do think maintaining more liberal beliefs than conservative is better than the alternative, but I do not believe in subscribing to any political philosophy so wholeheartedly as to call myself a “_______.”

Me giving liberals a bad name? I doubt that. I am a lot more forgiving towards liberals than I am conservatives, at least at this point in time. I won’t pretend that can’t change like many out there do. Many will vote for people who say and do things they’d consider unforgivable by the opposing affiliation simply because they share an affiliation.

I find that both idiotic and morally wrong.

So you’re right, I’m not a “real liberal,” but I haven’t claimed to be. Ever. At any point. In fact, I have shunned this label more than a few times.

  • Government: Hey there, citizens. How's it going?
  • Citizens: Pretty well. No problems here.
  • Government: Just pretty well? Damn, better pass a law to fix that.
  • ...
  • Person with basic understanding of government: Yeah, dumb post.

Why we can’t go back to the 1960s (statistically, not idealistically).

Not sure if adjusted for inflation, but I hardly see the point in making this if it’s not.

Rep. Marsha Blackburn accidentally makes a case against her own point about the minimum wage.

Really? Oh, my glob. There is nothing prudent about that. That is like a professional athlete saying “anyone could play like this” except a lot more irresponsible.

Hell yes, Mr. President. Thank you.

A few of the worst moments from the least productive, most partisan Congress:

  • Almost shut down the government and hit the debt ceiling.
  • Let the Violence Against Women Act expire.
  • Voted 33 times to repeal Obamacare.
  • Created, then went over, the Fiscal Cliff.
  • Voted 317 times against the environment.
  • Shut down half the internet by proposing SOPA.
  • Ignored gun control after their colleague was shot.
  • Held a hearing on birth control where women couldn’t testify.
  • Gave the NRA veto power over judges.

And that’s not even the end of it.
